About us
Cingles Blaus, a passion that began in 2001 at a modest winery in the charming town of Cornudella de Montsant. The fruit of a family tradition linked to viticulture.
The love for wine and the desire to increase production in order to share it with the world were so strong that, in 2006, Cingles Blaus embarked on an exciting phase of growth. This is how our new and splendid winery was born, located at Mas de les Moreres — a place that reflects our passion and commitment to crafting exceptional wines.
Our winery
Our winery is located on the exceptional Mas de les Moreres estate. These incredible lands not only allow us to produce grapes of the highest quality, but also the buildings that make up the estate hide many curiosities and a lot of history related to the wine-growing tradition of the area before the 20th century.
In 2006, we remodelled the old cellar of the farmhouse for the production of the different Cingles Blaus wines. Not only because of the historical value of the winery, but also because of the importance of the proximity of the vineyards to the facilities, to preserve all the properties of the grapes for the winemaking process.
The vineyard
Our vineyards are planted on stony and clay soils, in the area of Cornudella de Montsant, in the Priorat region, at about 575 m above sea level. The vineyards are located near the Arbolí river, a privileged place due to its microclimate and the llicorella soils with unbeatable characteristics for vines, probably the area with the greatest wine-growing potential in the DO Montsant.
We currently have 20 hectares of vineyards, 5 of which are in the municipality of Cornudella de Montsant and the remaining 15 hectares in the Mas de les Moreres estate, on the outskirts of Cornudella.
The predominant variety is Garnacha Negra, followed by Syrah, Merlot, Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha Roja and Chardonnay, which allows us to produce wines of the highest quality and our own style.
